Blurb & A Brief Review :

“Happiness In Your Skin” is the apt book fulfills our queries regarding happiness- the highest requirement of human existence, from head to toe. I am very glad that I chose the book to read & review. A beautiful concept that happiness should not be the goal but the main priority of our lives & we should go for the things which we are meant to do on the basis of living a meaningful blessed life is elaborately told throughout the book. Love, togetherness, friendship, kindness, peace, mindfulness etc are the other mottos to secure happiness in our life. We need to search for the purpose of our lives, sources of happiness & a permanent way to gain ‘fundamental’ happiness not the temporary one. We need not to go here & there & do hardship to have the long lasting happiness, rather some easy tips can be followed in order to feel the positivity of happiness in the air. I loved how the author simplified a forever controversial thing through a book. The language was easy to go with & the narration was very much adaptive.

This is how a self-motivational book should be written. Psychological facts are described in a comprehensible way so that it can strike the minds of an ample amount of readers. At the end of every chapter, the summary part was very much essential & some of the strong points to be noted. I absolutely preferred the title of the book & utilization of it in each chapter. Book cover was also relatable according the contents of the book.

Here are some key-notes from different chapters that helped me gain self-positivity :

1)Nature has instilled the desire to be happy in our hearts & minds.

2)Meaningful happiness is the outcome of love. Love is an outcome of understanding.

3)If you want to make a friend, be a friend. It takes time, energy, faithfulness, and selflessness. -Dale Carnegie

4)The family is too close. The world is too far. Friends bridge this gap.

5)Success IS happiness.

6)Love is not for the feebles at heart. Love is a bold move, at any point. It’s not bold by its nature. Love is bold because society makes it difficult for all of us to be in love, with ourselves, with our partners or with our work.

7)The grass on the other side is greener because you are not focusing on the grass on your side.

8)Persist and don’t ever give up.

9)Mindfulness is being present in the present moment.

Overall this was a very insightful read. It was worth the time I invested!
