GENRE : Collection of short stories

PUBLICATION : Partridge Publishing House

A Brief Review :

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Author Manali Debroy for providing me a review copy of her collection of short stories. When I first learnt to read & understand, I always persuaded my mother to tell me some fairy tales which was the exact point for me to love stories & patronize them with all my heart . “Marigold- the golden Memories” is a book of 18 short stories which I’ve started reading a month ago & enjoyed my time while reading each & every story. Short stories are the only portion of literature that leaves a deep impact on reader’s mind with an urge to know further when a story ends. “Marigold” wasn’t an exception of it. Each story is beautifully scribbled with an excellent tactise of storytelling. Plot-making, usage of words & titles are perfectly placed in this book. Moreover, it was really enthralling that each story had a good lesson or surprising twist at the end. Though I loved reading every story, still would name a few which were the most fascinating ones:

  1. One Wine Day

  2. Crossing The Bridge

  3. A Premonition or a Dream?

  4. My Icon

  5. A Wedding Parasol &,

  6. Stilettos to the Rescue

My Ratings :

Book Cover : ⅘

Content : 5/5

Overall Rating : 4.5/5 (Highly Recommendable)

Final Verdict :

Author Manali Debroy has left no efforts undone to make this book a picture perfect one. From storytelling to book cover, everything in this book were amazingly put together. Now, I would request the story lovers out there if you’re planning to make your weekends a little bit spicy, don’t waste your time & grab the book to spend quality time!
